Specification
Duties:
To ensure that subordinates’ human resources needs are identified and attended to. To supervise, support and monitor performance of all personnel. Ensure that there are sufficient funds available relating to the functions under jurisdiction and that expenditure is monitored. Update the database in line with the relevant policies. Screening and interviewing of potential tenants and make recommendations for allocations of municipal rental. Draft and issue allocation letters to approved tenants. Ensure that all requests for maintenance of municipal rental units in terms of the respective rental contracts and the relative budgets are met. Write recommendation on maintenance and upgrade of rental stock and prioritize list of maintenance complaints and refer to the relevant section. Identify transferrable municipal rental units and facilitate the transfer of ownership in line with the Housing Code. Ensure that illegal occupation and misconduct of municipal rental stock is dealt with in line with the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Oversee contract administration i.e. issuing of copy of lease agreement to tenant, copy to file, updating the relevant register in terms of standard operating procedure. The incumbent should be able to carry out any duties pertaining to ta Rental Housing Information Office as per the Rental Housing Amendment Act.
Requirements
Requirements:
Relevant National Diploma, Code B Driver’s License, Supervisory skills, Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), Negotiating skills, Conflict management skills, Be able to work independently, Computer Literate (MS Office), Proficient in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape, Good people skills, writing and calculating skills, Attention to detail.

Experience: 3 Years relevant experience in Rental Housing Administration.
