About the entity:

The Legal Practice Council is a national, statutory body established in terms of section 4 of the Legal Practice Act, No 28 of 2014.  The Council regulate the affairs of and exercise jurisdiction over all legal practitioners (attorneys and advocates) and candidate legal practitioners


The Legal Practice Council (LPC) is currently embarking on a process to fill the role of an Administrator – Exams in their Western Cape Provincial Offices (Cape Town)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric/Grade 12 Certificate
  • National Diploma in Administration (NQF 6)
  • 2 years administrative experience
  • Legal Practice Act, no 28 of 2014
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

How you can make a difference:

  • Arranging venues and invigilators
  • Registration of candidates
  • Updating the panel of examiners
  • Attending at the exam venue
  • Collection and distribution of exam papers
  • Accurate and prompt processing examination results
  • Coordinating all arrangement relating to oral exams
  • Issuing examiner’s Certificates
  • Coordinating payments and claims (examination candidates, venues, examination papers, invigilators, and examiners)
  • Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of the examinations
  • Attend to enquiries and correspondence relating to examinations, Typing, faxing, filing and all other related administrative duties
  • Attend to instruction from Conveners of examinations

Additional Requirements & Information:

  • Kindly submit a recently comprehensive updated CV
  • Copies of all relevant qualifications or certificates including Matric
  • Copy of ID and Driver’s License
  • Suitable candidates will be subjected to personnel suitability checks: Criminal record check; Citizenship verification; Qualification/study verification and previous employment verification)
