ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER- REF: APM- JW350/2021

REMUNERATION: R436 992 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM

PURPOSE

Ensure that all capital work is executed according to JW standards and specifications by inspecting and witnessing testing of newly installed infrastructure, attending site meetings on behalf of the division and ensuring that all health and safety regulations and environmental requirements are adhered to.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and maintain quality control of all aspects of site work. Maintain strict monitoring over all aspects of site safety during course of contracts to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Compile and submit reports to the Project Manager. Conducting random materials quality inspection. Ensure that the Contractor adheres to the requirements of the Record of Decision (where applicable) and the Environmental Management Plan. Ensure that Close-Out Reports are consistent with actual work done, and with JW’s Standard requirements. Undertake construction management to ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget, safely, and in compliance with environmental concerns. Assists with compilation of tender documents and tender committee adjudication reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential qualifications and experience:

• National Diploma Civil Engineering (NQF 6)
• 3 years site working experience in water and sewerage/sanitation projects.
• Code B
