The King David School in Armadale is seeking a full time Carpenter/Maintenance Officer to join our school facilities team. The ideal candidate will hold a carpentry qualification or have the equivalent in experience.
Working with a small and dedicated crew, with collaborative and supportive management, you will be responsible for providing maintenance support to the school ensuring buildings, properties, and major plant and equipment are adequately maintained to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
The person we are seeking will be a self-starter with excellent time management and the ability to effectively prioritise work schedules. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are important in a school environment, as is a strong customer service focus – a “can-do” attitude.
Experience and knowledge of all principles of maintenance and activities required to maintain property, assets, grounds and equipment is highly regarded.
This position requires an individual with a valid driver license and significant maintenance and handy person skills. A medium rigid license would be highly desirable to assist with some school bus driving.
