1.   Purpose of the Role

To support the Chief Executive Officer and EWSETA Executives in the execution of their functions.
To establish effective and efficient administration, management and control systems to ensure sound financial and supply chain management within the EWSETA.
To Manage and control the EWSETA’s payroll and all related activities and outputs thereby ensuring that the right people are paid the right amount at the right time.
To oversee the Audit Processes.
To oversee Risk and Compliance Management.
Implementation of the Public Finance Management Act and relevant financial prescripts.

4.   Qualification and Experience

Chartered Accountant or an equivalent
Minimum of 8 years financial management and accounting experience of which 5 years should be at managerial level.
An excellent knowledge of GRAP Accounting Standards.
Must have a good knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act.
International Financial Report Standards,
Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act 5 0f 2000).
National Treasury guidelines.
King IV report on Corporate Governance.
Relevant legislation within the public sector.
