POSITION: COST ACCOUNTANT – SA CONSUMER BRANDS

REPORTS TO: INVENTORY MANAGER – SA CONSUMER BRANDS

LOCATION: BRYANSTON / WYNBERG

 

JOB OBJECTIVE:

  • Support the execution of the inventory costing strategy by performing analysis
  • Ensure accurate standard cost accounting and related reporting
  • Manage accuracy in BOM’s and RFQ costing
  • Assist in the accurate preparation of annual and quarterly budget forecasting
  • Analyse data and provide KPI reporting and monthly manufacturing accounts

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Maintain the standard costing system, ensure accurate costing per SKU
  • Manage the Master data file, creation and maintenance of master codes and bill of materials
  • Provide analysis of purchase and job costing variances
  • Prepare and provide detailed analysis of KPI reporting, OTIF conformance
  • Manage the activity-based costing model
  • Manage the tracking of the manufacturing service level compliance, factory recoveries performance, manufacturing conformance yield and OEE analysis
  • Analyse and present the monthly manufacturing accounts
  • Analyse the product productivity, NPD costing
  • Prepare annual manufacturing departmental budget and quarterly review of the manufacturing forecast
  • Reconcile Factory warehouse inventory sub ledgers to general ledger
  • Analyse monthly stock write-off drivers against annual provision
  • Coordinate monthly inventory cycle count timetable
  • Coordinate annual year-end inventory count

  • Maintain appropriate communication within and between the functional areas of the Commercial Operations Team

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Bcom/BTech – Cost & Management accounting
  • 5-10 years manufacturing experience
  • Syspro ERP experience essential – min 5 years
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals Advantageous
  • MS Excel(advanced), ODBC, Sql report writingProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Analytical skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
