Description:

A vacancy currently exists for a Duty Manager within Kruger National Park, reporting to the Hospitality Services Manager at Orpen Camp. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:

Key Performance Areas

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction in the camp.
  • Ensure effective control and sound administration of inventory and assets in the camp
  • To ensure compliance of approved SANParks policies, procedures, standards and relevant legislation.
  • Build and maintain good stakeholder relationship, internal and external.
  • To assist with the identification and recommend Human Capital Development and Training needs.
  • To ensure smooth running of all functions in a tourism outlet.
  • To act in the absence of the Hospitality Services Manager.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Hotel / Tourism / Hospitality Management or equivalent
  • Four to six years relevant experience gained in the Hospitality industry at a Managerial level.
  • Good knowledge of reservation and front office system (Rooms Division), star grading system, housekeeping, eco-tourism, customer care and understanding of Tourism and service industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Good interpersonal ,communication, financial management, customer service, negotiation, leadership, people management, conflict resolution and liaison skills, Valid Driver’s license.NB. The position will be filled in line with the Employment Equity Targets for KNP.
