Job Functions Artisans
Industries Facilities & Property Management
The purpose of the job: Attending to all electrical jobs of occupied units. Ensuring that all vacant units are compliant from an electrical perspective.

The main tasks and responsibilities associated with the position are listed below. This is not an exhaustive list of tasks and responsibilities and any other tasks and/or responsibilities that could be reasonably expected for the position may be required.

Electrical and other duties:
1.Receive job cards, determine the duration of the work to be done and specify a deadline for when the work on the job card should be completed.
2.Order stock beforehand in so far possible.
3.Call tenants to make appointments.
4.Inspect electrical components, such as circuit breakers and isolators. Repair/replace where necessary.
5.Repair geysers and distribution boards.
6.Checking and repairing stoves and geysers of each unit on the Repairs and Maintenance list.
7.Repair stoves – replace stove plates and stove switches and rewire if necessary.
8.Take initiative on cost saving measures.
9.Inform the manager and/or property manager of any amendments/issues to update the job card accordingly.
10.Assist with general maintenance work when necessary.
Maintenance of Vehicle:
1.Always keep the company vehicle neat and tidy
2.Report any vehicle problems/damages to Management
3.Adhering to Company Vehicle Policy regarding abuse, speed limits etc.
4.Ensure that regular maintenance as specified by Avis is done
5.Ensure accurate reconciliation of petrol slips
Working conditions:
Mostly travelling and attending to jobs. Limited time spent at office for administration duties.

Qualifications & Experience:
1.Qualified Electrical Artisan – N6 (Wireman’s license)
2.2 to 3 years independent working experience
3.Plumbing qualification – advantages
4.Code 08 Drivers License required and at least 2 years continuous driving experience

1.Knowledge of electrical and general maintenance
