Overview

The incumbent will render efficient and effective housekeeping services.

Responsibilities/Duties

The incumbent will render efficient and effective housekeeping services that includes preparing tea, coffee and other refreshments for staff and visitors; Provide special and standing meetings with appropriate refreshments; Assist with catering services to IEC senior management and guests; Ensure there is adequate groceries, crockery and utensils available in kitchens; Ensure food preparation surfaces are clean; Collect and clean crockery and cutlery immediately after use; Ensure that kitchens, refrigerator and urns are properly cleaned and looked after to ensure a high level of hygiene; Report any dysfunctions in the kitchen i.e. microwave, kettle or urn not working, plumbing issues etc; Support other housekeepers in the completion of their tasks when required. In addition to the specific duties mentioned herein, the incumbent is required to do all such tasks as may be necessary for, or incidental to, the proper performance of such duties and in addition will be required to comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions given by the supervisor.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be in possession of a matric/N3 or junior certificate with a minimum of at least 3 year’s relevant working experience; Good interpersonal and communication skills; Time management skills; Attention to detail and neatness; Reliable; Flexible and good customer service; Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
