Overall Job Function

The Storeman’s main responsibility is for the issuing of stock items using SAP.  The Storeman is also responsible for all stock in the store and to manage this stock by completing daily stock counts.  Maintaining 5’s housekeeping standard in and around the store is part of the GENERAL STOREMAN’s responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct Tyres are issued as per Picking slip (Quantity, description, Product code)
  • Conduct daily cycle stock count & mark on count sheet
  • Complete dispatch dockets for outgoing items – Couriers / Calling etc.
  • Housekeeping
  • Use of SAP – process all reservations on a daily basis
  • Adhere to SRSA policy & procedures and Health & safety in the department
  • Assist with stock takes (as required by SRSA- monthly)
  • File all issue documents on a daily basis
  • Deliveries are dispatched timeously
  • Adhere to 5S
  • Assist with any task required by Management

 

Job Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Fluent in English
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/store’s environment will be advantageous
  • Diploma – Warehousing/Stores will be advantageous
  • Understanding and knowledge of SAP will be advantageous
  • Forklift/reach truck & pallet stacker license is preferable
