An exciting opportunity exists for a GRAPHIC DESIGNER at AVI LIMITED, Bryanston, Johannesburg in our Marketing Shared Services Division. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for devising and creating content for FMCG and Personal Care brands’ monthly digital marketing activity, as well as key marketing campaigns and promotions, and/or product launches, on different platforms including website content, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. As the successful incumbent you will be required to continuously generate content as per the strategy devised by the Digital Manager in collaboration with the brand teams, and take part in team brainstorm sessions to come up with new ideas for content and campaigns. You will also need to be able to take the feedback from the Digital Manager and the brand teams, and supply reverts through the change requests effectively and efficiently. It will also be your responsibility to remain up-to-date with the latest trends online, making sure that we are keeping up with changes in requirements and capabilities on digital platforms.

Job Specification:

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Work alongside the Digital Manager and Digital Team to craft content to be featured in our digital communications across AVI’s stable of brands, and in support of the various digital marketing objectives
  2. Develop creative content and assets on time
  3. Remain alert of changes in brand look and feel, such a logo placement, etc, and apply consistently throughout
  4. Work with a wide range of media and use the Adobe design suite to develop the desired content
  5. Think creatively and strive always to improve upon existing templates, where required/applicable/necessary
  6. Amend designs to brand and manager feedback until final approval is received to go live
  7. Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for various platforms, from social media pages to websites

Minimum Requirements:


  • At least 2 years’ experience designing and implementing creative content.
  • 1-year experience in creating content for FMCG and personal care brands on social and digital platforms
  • At least 2 years’ experience working on the Adobe Design Suite
  • 1-year experience displays knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and their respective various creative requirements


  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Graphic Design Diploma or degree will secure
