Job Description

To develop and lead the operationalisation of a bespoke Human Resources programme to enable the asset to achieve it’s short, medium- and long-term strategic business objectives.

  • Collaborate with operational leadership and support teams to influence and shape a sustainable culture
  • Contribute toward the formulation of the Managed Operations People Leadership Strategy
  • Assume accountability for the design, execution and measurement of an integrated Underground Project People Leadership Transition & Execution plan
  • Continuously examine, adapt and develop the on-mine HR capacity and capability to ensure optimal performance to deliver effective operational and project HR
  • Drive change management for Venetia Mine and HR future advancement
  • Key role player in the implementation of Building Forever strategies at the Mine
  • Ensure that all HR activities are aligned with the Managed Operations business governance and legislative requirements and the Group commitments to Inclusion and Diversity
  • In collaboration with operational and functional leadership, Group Talent and Group Reward, co-design and implement a Talent Management (acquisition, development, deployment/mobility and retention) strategy for mine aligned to its short, medium and long term Strategic Workforce Planning capability and capacity fundamentals.

 

What qualifications & experience do you need?

Qualifications

  • Relevant Tertiary bachelors degree Qualification in HR/Business Management
  • Postgraduate or Masters degree Qualifications will be preference
  • Proven track record as HR management lead at middle or senior operational leadership level – mining related experience advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale organisational change and transformation programmes – preferably within a capital project environment

  Knowledge & Skills

  • Broad understanding of business model value chains, including the functional interfaces that support and enable the successful achievement of business outcomes.
  • An advanced understanding of relevant RSA employment legislation/regulatory frameworks, applied HR practice and conflict resolution
  • Advanced change management and organisational transformation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced people analytics and people information decision support skills
  • Appreciation of Industry 4.0 and the impact of technology and digitalisation on industry
  • Leadership coaching, influencing and employee engagement best practice application
