An exciting opportunity has become available for an HR Administrator at NATIONAL BRANDS LIMITED Rosslyn Snacks factory. Reporting directly to the HR Manager. This role will be an integral part of the factory HR function providing support to the HR Manager, HR Officer, and HR Team.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Ensure that monthly payroll input is captured accurately and timeously
  • Check previous month’s payroll queries for authenticity and do necessary changes on SAP
  • Follow up on SAP workflows, ensuring approvals and processing by payroll
  • Check that all Time and Attendance information is correct before uploading of payroll onto SAP
  • Receive, collate and check monthly overtime schedules
  • Capture manual leave application forms on Bestime and SAP within agreed dates and ensure that all information for leave administration received is properly captured
  • Distribute employee payslip timeously
  • Follow up on all payroll queries/complaints to ensure they are dealt with and followed through timeously
  • Receive relevant approved forms for all employee movements from the various department heads/managers and track workflows
  • Conduct integrity check of master data to ensure all data is complete and accurate
  • Address all general HRIS system information queries received from management and employees
  • Ensure that all documentation for Engagements and Terminations is properly uploaded in the system
  • Liaise with staff and/or service providers with regards to Death and Disability Claims for provident /pension funds
  • Liaise with staff and service provider with regards to all Medical Aid queries
  • Inform HRSS of Long service payments that need to be processed
  • Prepare and distribute internal and external correspondence for the HR department
  • Check that all relevant HR documentation has been received and keep all HR and confidential documentation and information up to date in a safe and secure environment
  • Organise induction sessions for all new employees by booking venues
  • Assist with booking for training and confirming with attendees and training providers
  • Assist with taking minutes in disciplinary hearings /enquiries
  • Attend to general requests/queries from internal and external customers

Minimum Requirements:


  • At least 3 years’ HR administration experience gained in a unionized environment within the FMCG/Manufacturing industry
  • Must have 3 years’ payroll experience on SAP
  • Knowledge of SAP mandatory
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation (BCEA, LRA, etc.)

Qualifications required:

  • A completed tertiary qualification in Human Resources (National Diploma or a Bachelors’ degree)

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of BesTime would be highly advantageous
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
