School of Education Lecturer (Intermediate Phase Specialist)– (Independent Contractor)

Minimum Qualification/s
Bachelor of Education with Honour’s degree
and/or
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8)

and/or

Humanities/Arts/Social Sciences Honours degree

Required fields of specialisation

The undergraduate or postgraduate qualification must include a focus on teaching at the Intermediate Phase/ Senior Phase/ Further Education and Training with specialisation on the following subjects:

• Afrikaans/English
• Social Sciences
• Natural Science and Technology
• Research

Preferred Qualification/s

• Master’s Degree in Education Intermediate Phase

Experience

School teaching experience in Mathematics in the Intermediate Phase/Senior Phase/Further Education and Training is required

Ideally must have lecturing experience at tertiary level.

Roles and responsibilities

• Presenting content in a class environment
• Briefing students for assignments and projects
• Marking assessments and providing feedback
• Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within the Rosebank College environment.
• Developing and implementing intervention programmes for at-risk students
