Job Purpose
Selpal is seeking a highly organised individual to assume the role of IT Technician. The successful candidate will be solutions focused and responsible to provide daily IT support.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- 2+ years’ experience in Desktop Support
- Certification as IT Technician will be advantageous (e.g.: MS Certified IT Professional)
- Working knowledge of PABX Systems, Printers AD, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Office 365, Server 2012 and above, Hardware & Software
- Demonstrated experience in mobile OS (e.g.: Windows OS 7,8,10; Android, and IOS)
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily first line support on all end-user related hardware and software systems,
- Install, configure, and maintain all IT related equipment/software/functions on a routine basis and according to desired specifications,
- Updating computer and mobile operating systems and other important software as needed,
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize systems performance,
- Ensure security and privacy of network and computer systems,
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment,
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work,
- Proactive monitoring of the ticketing system, updating tickets and closing tickets within SLA,
- Control and record all IT and related assets in IT assets register. All IT assets must always be accounted for,
- Mobile Device support, troubleshooting and configurations,
- Liaise with external suppliers / service providers as required.
