The IIE Varsity College, Nelson Mandela Bay Campus has a vacancy for an IC for Mathematics and Science in the Intermediate Phase in the School of Education

Minimum Education Requirements: 

  • A minimum of a B.Ed. Honour’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8) or BSc/ Arts/ Humanities Honours degree

And:

  • The undergraduate qualification or postgraduate qualification must include Mathematics.
  • The undergraduate or postgraduate qualification must include a module on Teaching and Learning/Pedagogy. The undergraduate qualification or postgraduate qualification must include Social Sciences or component subjects like History and Geography to at least NQF level 6 (usually the 2nd year of study)

Minimum Experience Required: 

  • School teaching experience in Mathematics in the Intermediate Phase/Senior Phase/Further Education and Training Phase, is required. Ideally, lecturing experience at tertiary level.
