Purpose of the Internship: The Organization is committed to youth skills development by providing unemployed graduates who have completed Bachelor Degree in law with an opportunity to gain work experience and a SAQA qualification. Applications are invited for an Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 35. The learnership program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. The interns will be located at the State Attorney Offices in various regions nationwide.
Work based exposure may include the following:
- Interns will be given practical workplace structured training and on the job training and development, this will be combined with the theoretical training already acquired;
- Administration work;
- Drafting of correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, notices, applications ;
- Practical Application of court rules in practice;
- Observation of State Attorneys when appearing in Court;
- Support State Attorney in litigation and dispute resolution;
- Filing notices;
- Service of documents and Notice to Plaintiff Attorney ;
- Judgement monitoring and case outcomes reporting;
- Attendance of and upskilling with continuous learning professional development programs (i.e. LEAD and Lexisnexis);
- Filing Bills of Costs upon receipt;
- Provide support to oppose the Taxation;
- Preparations for appearance and Appear before the Taxing Master;
- Filing of outcomes and uploading on LMS.
Qualifications and Experience - Certified Grade 12/ NQF 4 level certificates and B Degree in Law
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certified copy of Academic transcript
- Your CV and motivational letter

Remuneration
The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
