The National Arts Council of South Africa is looking to attract dynamic, passionate and innovative self-starters with a solid understanding of the Creative Industries Sector for the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme Project.

REQUIREMENTS (full job specification is available upon request)

The incumbents must have strong knowledge of the arts, culture and heritage sector in South Africa and grant funding experience (preferably in the arts). The key responsibilities for this role include stakeholder liaison and technical support throughout the application process.

Additional role requirements are:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in the arts, culture and heritage sectors in South Africa;
  • Knowledge and experience in the disbursement of public funding is an advantage;
  • Customer orientated attitude;
  • Collect and analyse data and report writing skills;
  • Sound knowledge and experience in a grant management system;
  • Ability to provide IT/technical support to stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in more than one of the official South African languages;
  • Previous client management experience;
  • Sound experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work within a team, as well as independently;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Good multi-tasking ability;
