Salary: R39 055.92 pm (basic salary excluding benefits)
Degree/NQF level 7 in Public Management/Project management/Town Planning/Degree in Human
5 – 7 years working experience in community work and/or Project management of which 4 years’
at middle/supervisory level; and
Basic knowledge of Public Administration/Business Administration.
Primary Function: Facilitate effective community engagement in accordance with the National
Housing Code (2009) to enhance relationship with all stakeholders in the development of Human
Settlements projects implemented by the Housing Department within the City of Johannesburg.
Key Performance Areas: Participate in the identification and conceptualization of new Human
Settlements projects. Arrange public meetings, street committees, block committees (creating
awareness on human settlements programmes e.g. UISP). Manage the providing of technical
support (e.g. compile reports and documents). Manage assets and resources. Ensure compliance to
the skills development policy of the City. Manage compliance with Performance management.
Leading Competencies: Good coordinator; Ability to work under pressure and produce accurate
reports within limited timeframes. High degree of interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff
and external stakeholders.
Core Competencies: Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel); good communication (verbal
and written) and coordinating skills required.
