QUALIFICATIONS
 Appropriate B Degree / Diploma in Metallurgy / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
 5 years’ experience in heavy industry plant management and preferably in a Mining beneficiation environment
 Computer literacy (MS Office, MS Outlook and Internet) and report writing

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Concentrate manager will focus on the following:
 Take accountability and responsibility for the Concentrate plant and slimes dam,
budgets, people, processes, and other KPI’s as set out yearly. Including associated
functions:
 Management of the production process through the optimization of the
Concentrate operations and associated functions.
 Take responsibility for all major hazard management plans associated in the area
of responsibility and ensure subordinates are trained.
 Partake and facilitate problem-solving activities by initiating, developing and or
implementing alternatives or improvements to the process with in the sphere of
responsibility.
 Revise standard work instructions as well as communication
thereof and take the responsibility to ensure that the required
training in completed in the allocated time frame.
 Ensure compliance to sound financial management principals
 Management of the HSEC policies, procedures and systems,
environmental compliances/requirements.
 A sound knowledge of the mine health and safety act.
 Management of employment equity/mining charter compliance
relevant to his/her production department.
 Sound management of employee relations and development.
 Mentoring and coaching of appointed mentees.
