National Diploma in Fine Arts/|Public Administration/Community Development (NQF 6);
2 – 3 years’ experience working within Arts Environment; and
Knowledge of Indigenous, Traditional Arts and Culture, Cultural Tourism, Fire Fighter and First
Primary Function: Manage heritage resources at the Oppenheimer Garden in Soweto including the
Credo Mutwa Cultural Village and Oppenheimer Tower so as to ensure that they are conserved and
made accessible in order to promote indigenous knowledge the development of the Arts, and Cultural
Key Performance Areas: Conduct guided tours for museum visitors. Plan and implement public
programmes and events. Liaise with community groups, Traditional Healer, artist, special groups,
event organizers and other stakeholders regarding programmes and functions. Supervise and
monitor security arrangements. Arrange facilitate and monitor an ongoing maintenance programmes.
Control payments for booking of facilities. Collect information on the heritage resources of the site.

Core Competencies: Computer literacy in Microsoft Office; Interpersonal and Communication
(verbal and written)
