- Introduction
- A vacancy exists for a Pharmacist Assistant-Qualified Post Basic based at Life Eugene Marais Hospital, reporting to Emmie Van Bemmel, Senior Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the quality pharmaceutical services, financial objectives, legislative compliance and people management requirements are achieved to the required standards.
- Critical Outputs
- Effective quality management systems
- Participate in the implementation and compliance to LHC Quality management systems.
- Ensure compliance with SAPC, DOH and LHC legal and professional standards.
Effective customer relationship management
- Ensure an efficient quality service to customers and doctors in the local community.
- Implement pharmacy quality initiatives.
Effective financial management
- Achieve budgeted revenue targets through implementation of various retail pharmacy initiatives.
- Manage cash in line with LHC financial practices.
Effective asset management
- Participate in achieving stock targets.
- Maximise the sale of stock through correct merchandising in line with LHC standards.
- Achieve optimal retail system utilisation.
Effective people management
- Provide direction and inspire positive work behaviour in team.
- Requirements
-
- Grade 12 National Senior Certificate
- Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant
- Relevant hospital pharmacy experience would be an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of pharmacy legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Computer proficiency (MS office). A working knowledge of the CKS retail system would be an advantage
