Introduction Provide Members, Pensioners and Human Resources with information about their pension fund benefits in individual sessions in compliance with the Financial Services Board’s customer principles.

Specification 1.CONDUCT MEMBER EDUCATION SESSIONS

•Coordinate all logistical arrangements for member education sessions well in advance.

•Coordinate education / training sessions for members to ensure effective events that achieve their objectives.

•Conduct presentations and answer queries in a sensitive manner.

•Visit Eskom sites and conduct sessions face-to-face with members to ensure that the transfer of information is well understood.

2.ORGANISE PENSIONER EDUCATION FUNCTIONS

•Obtain a list of pensioners in a particular area.

•Coordinate and host country-wide information functions which attract Pensioners, conduct presentations and answer queries
appropriately.

•Oversee all logistical arrangements regarding the pensioner education functions.

3.IMPLEMENT HR RELATIONSHIP MAINTENANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCE TRAINING

•Build relationships with Eskom HR representatives by making goodwill visits to various HR Departments.

•Conduct HR training programs that target Eskom’s HR Practitioners, HR Officers and HR Assistants.

•Monitor the accurate completion of claim forms and provide feedback to HR Practitioners when not up to standard.

•Respond to all queries accurately and sensitively.

•Gain buy-in and support for EPPF communication activities.

4.PROVIDE PRE-RETIREMENT COUNSELLING FOR MEMBERS AND OTHER RETIREES

•On request, provide accurate, and specialist advice to members who are pre-retirement in terms of options, tax implications,
divorce act, income tax act, pension fund act, etc.

5.Function Coordination and Administration

•Organise various pensioner functions, as identified, achieving logistical requirements and function objectives.

Requirements •Relevant University Bachelor Degree or 4 year Diploma.

•Working knowledge of Pensions Fund Rules.

•Basic knowledge of Income Tax Act, Divorce Act, Pension Fund Act.

•Working knowledge of benefit administration.

•Working knowledge of focused client service.

•Valid drivers’ licence.

•Presentation skills.

•Proficiency in Tshivenda/ XiTsonga and or Sepedi

•Willing to travel extensively within South Africa.
