Overall Job Function

To effectively manage Sales Training activities to support the business strategy and attainment of strategic targets. There will be a specific focus on development of internal sales competence and dealers and staff’s knowledge, skills and competency.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Annual Training Needs Analysis and Budgeting for both internal and external training (dealer network).
  • To assess the needs of required training for the forthcoming year.
  • Compilation of budget to affect this training for final approval. This is inclusive of Sales training needs as well as dealer training requirements.
  • Supports the company’s Playing to Win strategy and the Playing to Win Strategy for Sales, Marketing and Operations.
  • To increase skills of employees in the sales team with a versatile skills base. Increase the talent pool to support the overall business strategy of growth.
  • Development of training material with appropriate assessment tools for product training, fitting and strip of wheels and tyres as well as all aspects of Retail.
  • Delivery of training material as required
  • Overall Talent Management of the Sales division
  • Management of the monthly budget

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources Management specialising in Training and Development
  • Education, Training and Development Practitioners Certificate,
  • Skills Development Facilitator specific requirements to update merSETA documentation
  • Assessor and Moderator Qualification.
  • In depth knowledge of the operation of tyre manufacturing and PCR / LTR Product.
  • Understanding of Tyre Dealership Retail Operations
  • 5 years’ experience in the training field and 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Microsoft Office, SAP, Assessor and Moderator experience.

 

Competencies

  • Leadership skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Preferably knowledge of tyre industry
  • Must be able to work under pressure independently
  • Ability to plan and organize
  • Technical knowledge of PCR and LTR Tyres, TBR would be advantageous.
