Grade 12/NQF level 4 is required;
Public Administration or Public Management Certificate/NQF level 5;
1 – 2 years’ experience operating at Secretarial or Administrative level;
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office; Outlook; and
Above average writing and administration skills and good communication skills.
Primary Function: Ensure an effective and efficient secretarial service is rendered in the office of the
Manager: Sports & Recreation, thereby enhancing service delivery in the Region.
Key Performance Areas: Provide an efficient telephone service for the regional office. Maintain and
efficient record keeping and retrieval system. Perform secretarial and administrative duties.
Communicate required information to management, staff and public.
Leading Competencies: Ability to function under stress; Time management; High level of
confidentiality and organisational skills; Strong accuracy skills; Planning and Organising.
