Role Description: Reporting to the Security Information Coordinator, this role will collect, record and report information and
intelligence acquired from various networks for analysis to support the overall Security Information and Support objectives.
The role is primarily based in Kimberley, travelling will be required.
Collect information/intelligence in line with standard intelligence practices and processes and develop an information /
intelligence collection plan.
Recruit and develop networks in strategic environments.
Identify areas of interest of focus in line with the Information/Intelligence objectives and strategy.
Reporting of information/intelligence to the Security Information Coordinator.
Accurately and comprehensively record all information/intelligence received on Security Database for analysis purposes.
Utilise external stakeholders as required.
Submit annual budget to the Security Information Coordinator for approval.
Submit monthly reconciliations of finances to the Security Information Coordinator.
Reputation and responsible mining:
Identify and report aspects/risks potentially impacting the company’s reputation. Identify and report on control and standard
deviations, failures and inefficiencies for action and feedback.
Identify and assist in efforts to address community grievances and potential threats to improving collaboration and
relationships. Assess social, political, environmental and economic environment as well as human rights issues and advice on
potential impacts to Petra and operations. Identify and report on control and standard deviations, failures and inefficiencies for
action and feedback.
Identify and report employees and contractors involved in IDT & diamond theft activities as well as weaknesses in the diamond
treatment and recovery processes, which could be exploited for IDT to the Security Information Coordinator. Identify and report
on control/standard failures/inefficiencies and risk in diamond export and operations’ production processes for action and
Participate in Information/Intelligence driven projects internally to address IDT and diamond theft.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and external stakeholders in IDT and diamond theft related risk and projects in
collaboration with the Security Information Coordinator.
Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the Security
Information and Support Function.
Ensure that all Information/Intelligence reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules.
Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Report on non compliance issues.
Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company’s Vision and Values, Ethics, Human Rights, and Safety, Health and

Effective team player and effective self-management
National Certificate Security Risk Management (NQF level 5) or equivalent.
3 years Intelligence collection related knowledge and experience. SAPS crime intelligence or related fields preferable.
PSIRA Grade B
Certificate Intelligence and Analyses Techniques
Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license.
Having knowledge of the Criminal and Procedures Act.
Apply security audit techniques, in order to identify security weakness.
