We are looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the above-mentioned vacant position in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park based at the Twee Rivieren Rest Camp.

  • Grade 12 and National Certificate in Professional Cookery/National Food Preparation and Cooking Certificate.
  • 2 – 3 years of work experience in food preparation – general cooking and cuisine.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Official accommodation will be provided.


  • To ensure the provision of quality food/beverage and service, to the requirements and satisfaction of the customer and company in a highly professional, efficient and courteous manner.
  • To ensure compliance with related legislation, standards & SANPark’s policies by performing periodic inspections & audits.
  • To ensure the availability & maintenance of the kitchen.
  • To ensure & provide product quality assurance before service to the customer.
  • To Implement & Manage the Departmental Kitchen Operating Systems.
  • To ensure that the stock is within the departmental stock levels by continued monitoring.
  • To ensure timeous preparation of food as per existing meal schedules.
  • To ensure that the whole food process is quality assured before service to the customer.
  • To ensure that the kitchen is clean, hygienic and all the employees are working safely.
  • Comply with hygiene standards as per company and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure the health and safety of guests and staff by complying with Health and Safety regulations.
  • To work shifts and irregular hours as required.
  • Menu planning and preparation experience.
  • Food preparation; and ensure hygiene and cleanliness.
  • To perform any ad-hoc related tasks.
