Job Description

The above position is vacant at our Parow Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to do mechanical and electrical work on security and risk items.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Clear criminal record
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Oulook
  • At least 2-5 years experience in technical/ maintenance work is an advantage
  • Valid drivers license
  • Own transport is an advantage
  • Grade C PSIRA certificate and registered is advantageous
  • Must be willing to travel and work extended hours when required

Job Specification (not totally inclusive):

  • Installation and replacement of all moving parts on the turnstile
  • Removal of turnstiles should large items be required to be moved through
  • Full service on all turning parts of the turnstile tolls, including regular maintenance of all electric parts within the turnstile motherboard
  • Securing all turnstile head locks and straps
  • Fitment and installation of top cover grids on all makes of turnstile to prevent unauthorised access
  • Perform proactive visits to branches in relation to servicing and inspection of all generators
  • Proactive testing to ensure all generators are in working conditions
  • Replacement of all working parts of the various vehicle systems, including general maintenance on all working parts of the vehicle systems
  •  Diagnosing electrical issues and vehicle security systems
  •  Checking and replacement of the required wiring of the vehicle system
  • General maintenance on OTC vehicles including replacement of faulty OTC locks and attending to vehicle breakdowns
  • Replacement of broken key pads
