An exciting opportunity exists for a Warehouse Assistant at CIRO in EppingCape Town.  The purpose of this role is to efficiently and effectively operate and drive a forklift truck, to pick the correct product and quantity in accordance with the order received from the customer, in a manner which is conducive to protecting product quality and providing a safe working environment.

Job Specification:

Key Performance Areas:

  • Ensure all orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules
  • Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the warehouse supervisor
  • Monitor stock levels and expire dates
  • Picking of stock
  • Assist in the loading and offloading of delivery vehicles
  • Check that stock is been rotated
  • Enforce policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain appropriate and complete required documentation on all orders
  • Conduct monthly stock counts and daily spot-checks on stock accuracy, equipment and cleanliness
  • Identify discrepancies between stock records and take action
  • Minimize environmental influences and manage effectively energy in current warehouse structures
  • Identify opportunities to improve the performance
  • To partner with the warehouse team and other departments personnel to continuously improve Warehouse management procedures, practices, and systems.
  • Performing Chep pallet counts on a regular basis
  • Correct stacking of Chep pallets
  • Ensure stock is put away into the correct location
  • Assist with loading and offloading of trucks using a hyster
  • Loading of Vehicles
  • Off Loading of Vehicles
  • Ensure forklifts are kept clean

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:                                                                   

  • 2 – 4 years Warehouse experience within an FMCG environment

Qualifications:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / NQF4

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Forklift Driver’s license
